Deacon Linda Ely
"From gardening gloves to baking trays, with art so good, it could give Picasso a run for his money!"
Linda has been part of Hope Church (formerly New Life Church) since 1987—talk about OG status! Over the years, she’s done it all, from teaching Sunday School until recently, to taking on her Deacon duties with style. Whether she’s printing promo materials, serving as minute secretary at leadership meetings, helping out at our Feed the Need Food Bank, or pitching in with the Kidzone, Welcome, and Refreshments teams, Linda’s the glue that holds so much together. Her heart for service shines through, and her commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment is felt by all who cross her path.
Did you know this about Linda?
When Linda isn’t busy supporting the church, she’s in her element gardening, whipping up delicious bakes, or knitting something epic. But here’s the cool part—she dabbles in watercolour painting, and though she humbly claims it's just a hobby, every so often, she surprises herself by creating something so good, it deserves a spot on her wall!
